anyone else just sitting on 40m listening tonight

so its been a slow week and i just had the radio on in the background while doing some stuff around the house and 40m was actually pretty decent tonight, heard a few guys ragchewing out of ohio and caught a little bit of some dx i couldnt quite make out, might have been south american somewhere. anyway just felt like checking in, havent posted here in a while. the hobby has been good to me lately even if i dont get on the air as much as id like to. anyone else doing the same thing just kinda half listening while doing other stuff

yeah 40 has been my go-to lately too, usually got it on while im cooking dinner or whatever. heard a couple guys from Tennessee last night going on about antenna stuff for like an hour, didnt mind though it was good background noise lol. the band was surprisingly quiet for a weeknight

honestly same, i do this all the time. my wife thinks im weird for just having static on but its not static its the BAND lol she doesnt get it. caught some good propogation last thursday around 7.250 area, couple of guys real loud from what sounded like the midwest
