anyone going to the dayton hamvention this year or nah

so im trying to figure out if its worth making the drive out to xenia again this year. went two years ago and had a blast but last year i skipped it and honestly kind of regretted it. the flea market alone makes it worth it imo even if you dont buy anything its just fun to walk around and see whats out there. my buddy WB8 something is trying to get a group together from our club but half of them are flaking already lol

anybody else planning to go? and if you went recently was the vendor hall still as packed as it used to be or has it thinned out? feels like every year i hear people say its not as good as it used to be but then they still go so

went last year, vendor hall was fine honestly. maybe a little less crowded on sunday afternoon but saturday morning was absolutely shoulder to shoulder like always. the flea market had some decent stuff, picked up a nearly mint TS-430S for like 80 bucks which made the whole trip worth it right there. the drive is annoying but what can you do

your club thing sounds familiar, we try to coordinate every year and it always falls apart by march and then people just show up independently and run into each other anyway

this is my first year even considering going, been licensed about 8 months and people keep telling me i have to go at least once. is it weird to go alone or do most people go with their club? i dont really have a local club yet im kind of between two of them and havent fully committed to either one
